The Stats Committee is constantly working on ways to get better reports to the ABMA membership. Some recent completed surveys include
- Year End Survey of Profitability, R&D, and Capital Expenditures
- Annual Bearings Market Survey
- Quarterly Statistics Report, which includes total domestic & export shipments by product code, orders and backlog by product category, market to which product is shipped by product category, inventories and capacity utilization.
Besides US information, the Statistics Committee is also in charge of ABMA's World Bearing Statistics (WBS) exchange. These reports are produced biannually and come from the three associations in the WBS. They are ABMA, the Japanese Bearing Industrial Association (JBIA) and Federation of European Bearing Manufacturers' Association (FEBMA).
Information provided by ABMA member companies is released only to those member companies who furnish the data. ABMA's Statistics Committee meets with other counterpart associations in other countries to improve the gathering of global-bearing statistical information.
